The study aimed to recognize the impact of the various Media upon Public Security Leaderships in decisions taking in Jordan, where the “study population” consisted of (115) Public Security Leaderships` staff members from (Regional Security Leaders, Directors of Departments, Police Directors, and Units Leaders) in the Public Security Directorate for the year 2014.
Which a random sample that reached to (105) questionnaires were taken and all of which have undergone for statistical analysis by using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS); In order to find the figure and/or value of the (mean) and the standard deviations to do and make the statistical analysis, where the study used "Multivariate Test " and the "F-Test".
- The study reached a number of results; most important ones as follows: 1.
A percentage of (93,3 %) of Public Security` Leaderships are interested in media .
2.
The order or position in scale of the various media technology that have the most effective influence on the Security Leader`s decision taking according to its significance descending scale, as follows: (websites, local T.V.
channels, satellite channels, daily newspapers, networks social media and radio stations).

respondents attitude towards media impact on the Security Leader`s decision taking were medium in a mean of (2.80%), whereas their respondent towards media impact on the axes of the study were in the following order ; (security decision evaluation, security critical issues` diagnostic which need a decision, collecting security information, security alternatives choice, and security alternatives development , security alternatives evaluation).

There is an impact of media and on security leader’s decision taking, at the significance level ( =0.05).

There is an impact of media effectiveness on security leader’s decision taking, at the significance level ( =0.05) in (collecting security information, and security alternatives evaluation).

There is no impact of media effectiveness on security leader’s decision taking, at the significance level ( =0.05)in (security critical issues` diagnostic, security alternatives development, security alternatives choice, and security decision evaluation).
- The study came up with a number of recommendations, most important ones are: • Enhance the open door policy that is adopted and applied by Public Security Directorate in dealing with national, regional and international media.
• Stimulate the security leaderships` to pay more of their attention of what topics are displayed and/or broadcasted by media, and particularly, the local ones in their morning news and/or programs as they broadcasting the security critical issues and problems that facing the citizens.
• Call media to transmit and cover the security news, incidents or events in neutral manner in order to give and convey the actual true image or facts to the security leader in decision taking.
