Abstract EN

This study aims to examine the role of applications of Total Quality Management on performance and Excellency in public security directorate by explore the extent of knowledge of the officers in PSD of the concept of TQM the participation of Officers in decision making process, the perception of senior officers in PSD for the philosophy of TQM.

Also to define the linkage between high senior officers and the recipients of the service.

The study population include (170) officers of PSD, ranking from General to 2nd lieutenant, the questionnaires were analyzed by(SPSS) ,mean, standard deviation were used to analyze the data of the study.

The study finds many results: • The study clarify that the respondents of high rank officers in PSD regarding the convincement and supporting the philosophy of (TQM) is high with average (3.77).

• The study shows that the respondents of high rank officers towards the participation of workers in decision-making Process was medium with average (3.37).

• The study shows the interest of high rank officers in training of workers to increase their efficiency, to improve the quality high average (3.76).

Based upon the results, the study concluded to these recommendations: - Insist the knowledge of workers with the concept of the Total Quality Management through courses and workshops, in participation with King Abdullah II Award center for governmental performance and transparency Office and local regional organizations interested in TQM.

- Increase the participation of workers from different levels in PSD in all of decision making phases.

- Continuing the training programs of workers in PSD to increase their effectiveness and improve quality in all departments of PSD through specialized courses in TQM and its application.
