Abstract EN
Assimilation is a process by which sounds are influenced by their neighbours, or replaced by other sounds in the Language.
Sometimes you find two neighbouring sounds reacting, as it were upon one another and are replaced by a third sound different from both the original sounds.
In this article I described assimilation between the old Arab grammarian and the modern.
Each has his own theory.
Included in this article are kinds of assimilation, whether direct or indirect, progressive or regressive.
The symptom of Assimilation in old Arabic Dialects are then dealt with.
