Abstract EN

Various countries in the world, and Algeria is not an exception, have been competing to attract foreign direct investment (FDI).

This has been one of the reasons to investigate Algeria’s position and to try to study FDI impact on heir’s economic, and FDI in Algeria has complemented the inadequate domestic capital, but its role -as has been shown through in the development of labor force in addition to transfer and diffusion of technology has not been materialized yet.

This study aims to test the effect of foreign direct investment on the employment in Algeria, it used annual data for the period from 1970 to 2012.

Where the test unit root was tested using the Augmented Dickey-Fuller test (ADF) and the test of PhillipsPerron (PP), The results of analysis showed that this variables are not stationary the first level but it became stationary after taking the first difference, and there is a which revealed no co-integration between the variables, and The study appeals set of conclusions and recommendations identified features of the relations and the nature and effect between the main variables of the study while the Granger causality tests reject the short run relationship.
