Abstract EN
The architectural project is built upon a database of various kinds such as site, climate, environment, landscapes, demo – economic, social data and others.
When the nature of the project is rehabilitation and the object is a historic center which overall classified natural site, all of the archaeological, landscaped, historical and human aspects are to be attributed important dimensions.
A comprehensive defining of the morphological characteristics and of the interactions between the various components of the built environment of concern, becomes unavoidably significant.
The application of the morphological approach in the Constantine preservation pilot project launched in 2008, has allowed the release of the first marks of the project.
It also attempts to provide evidence of the benefit to cross these with other historical, technical, archaeological, archival and administrative tools to achieve successful design and programming that meets the requirements of the urban project.
Through this paper, it appears clearly that such a method allows the proper anchoring of the project within the context of concern and its positive adoption by the public; Note, that it also facilitates more understanding of the city making phenomena together with the project design of its rehabilitation and development.
