Abstract EN

This paper tackles the concept of the «malignant» in its linguistic and Quranic uses.

It introduces the definition of the term considering its topic an independent science that has its importance in understanding the texts and the Quraniac terms.

Also it aims at identifying the definition of « malignant» in the Holy Quran and its relation with linguistic dictionaries as a preliminary step to understand the main idea of this research.

To be more precise, we should extrapolate the term’s occurrences in the Quran in terms of statistics which is represented by the places of its mentioning in the Holy Quran, describing its derivational forms, analyzing these occurrences in terms of size and form and finally by analyzing its partial meanings implied in each occurrence.

When the aforementioned aspects have beenrealized, there will be an elicitation of a definition of the concept in the Holy Quran.
