Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to analyze the trade patterns in Jeddah port during the year 1340- 1341 AH/ 1922- 1923 AD.

The port was one of the important ports on the Red Sea at that time.

It received pilgrims and goods coming by the sea to Mecca and its surroundings.

It was the main port of Mecca and was the end point of so many goods coming from various countries to meet the needs of the region, and the surplus goods were re- exported through it.

Thus, Jeddah port was a busy port at that time deserving such study.

This paper used the British documents who monitored the port.

These documents provided detailed information about the number of pilgrims, from where they are, where the goods come from, and the links with other ports.
