Oman and Persia have benefited from their strategic and outstanding location, which overlooks the Arabian Gulf that stands as an important trade route for trading from Asia to the East European countries and vice versa.

Persia has exerted its efforts to exercise authoritative control or power over the Omani property, especially in the period of weakness experienced by the country during the reign of Imam Saif Bin Sultan the Second Al-Ya'rabi, because of whom Persia has interfered in the Omani affairs ; consequently, Oman became a place where Persians have practiced the worst actions against the Omani people, expressing the worst pictures of hatred, which was apparent in their actions committed in the territories they had seized.

We can say that the potential interventions in the Omani foreign affairs, and in the Omani Persian convergence, and the possible increase of the ebb and hostility between the two governments , in addition to the arrival of Said Bin Sultan to the throne and his preferential concern over his African capital Zanzibar to the Asian capital Oman- all these made the Persians covet control over the Omani property, especially on the eastern coast of the Arabian Gulf.
