Abstract EN

The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between psychological needs and styles of socialization in adolescents as well as knowing the differences between male and female adolescents in the psychological needs, as well as knowing the differences between older and younger adolescents in the psychological needs.

The study sample consisted of (200) male and female adolescents at high school and university; (100) male teenagers aged between (16-21) years, and (100) female teenagers aged between (14-20) years.

The sample selected randomly and the following tools were administered: 1 – scale of the psychological needs 2 -scale of styles of socialisation.

The collected data were analyzed statistically by: 1 – Pearson's correlation coefficient 2 – T-test The study obtained the following results: 1 – There is a correlation between psychological needs and styles of socialization for adolescents.

2 - There are no statistically significant differences between male and female adolescent in term of psychological needs.

3 - There are no statistically significant differences between older and younger adolescents in psychological needs.
