Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the extent to which sex education is developed in the Islamic literacy curricula at the secondary schools.

To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers adopted analytical descriptive approach and used a paragraph as an analytical unit.

The list used in the analysis composed of three domains which includes sexual health and reproduction, marriage, family life, ethics and sexual behavior.

Findings revealed that there was an implicit and brief inclusion of sex education in the analyzed textbooks.

In light of the obtained results, the researchers put forward several recommendations and suggestions.
