The current study aimed to identify applying E-governance in the public schools of the Directorate of Education in the district of Irbid from the perspective of school principals.
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher designed a questionnaire that consisted of (38) items, which were distributed to the sample study of (43) male and female principals of the public schools, who were randomly selected from the study population.
After conducting the necessary statistical treatments, the results showed the presence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) in the reality of applying e-governance in the public schools in Irbid that is attributed to the type of school in each of the field of the technological capabilities of the school principal in e-governance, and the differences were in favor to the secondary schools, the lack of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05 ≤ α) for all the areas of the study and the tool as a whole according to the variable of scientific qualification, the lack of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05 ≤ α) for all the areas of the study and the tool as a whole according to the variable of experience in the field of management, and the lack of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05 ≤ α) in the reality of applying e-governance in the public schools in Irbid that is attributed to the type of school in each of the areas of (modern electronic equipment in schools) and (the application of e-governance in the school management in the field of student affairs).
