Abstract EN

This study aimed to know the directed family violence towards children including (physical, abuse, psychological abuse, and ignorance), and its relation to feeling with security for adolescents students in karak governorate.

Also the study aimed to know the figures of the family violence according to difference in (sex, education level for father and mother).

The sample of the study consisted of (1290) students, male and females, from 10th grade belonging to four education departments in karak (karak region, Quaser, Southern Mazar and southern Ghour), during the years 2012-2013.

To achieve the aims of the study, the parental abuse scale (PAS), and Maslow security-in security inventory were used.

The results showed that the students who exposed to figures of family violence (physical abuse, psychological, and ignorance), at different degrees.

The greate score was for psychological abuse, then to ignorance, and the low score for physical abuse.

The results also showed that there is an inverse relationship between feeling with security and family abuse.

Where the feeling with security becomes low among the members of the sample when they are exposed increasingly to family abuse.

Boys are more affected by abuse than girls.

There are statistical differences between the education level for mother and father and the degree of abuse.

Finally the study included a number of recommendations, the most of these recommendations is to make more of studies on family violence on other social strata.
