Abstract EN

This study aimed to know the reality of the practise of academic freedom of faculty members of the Zarka University and obstacles to the practise of freedom from the viewpoint of the faculty members at the university.

The study population consisted of all faculty members in Zarka University.

The number of 217 faculty members, And it reached the study sample (155) faculty members been chosen randomly To achieve the objective of the study the questionnaire was developed in order to be identify the responses of faculty members to the reality of the practise of academic freedom and the obstacles to implementation.

Results of the study showed that the reality of the practise of academic freedom by faculty members at the University of the Zarka came moderately.

All areas of the tool came medium except for the area of freedom of participation in the management and decision-making university came low-grade.

The study also showed the presence of statistically Zarka University to the point of freedom academy due to the variable type of college for the benefit of scientific colleges.

In additionthe lack of statistically significant differences due to the variable (Gender, academic rank, and experience).

The study also showed that the obstacles to the exercise of academic freedom of faculty members at the University of the blue from their perspective in the form of the year was a big.
