Abstract EN

The necessity for establishing a penalties execution judge has been emphasized in the recommendations of several specialized seminars and conferences about criminal justice in Jordan, as well as in the annual reports of the National Human Rights Council.

The role and authority of the penalties execution judge have been defined in legislations and many countries, leading to the activation of alternative systems of denial of freedom, ensuring the legality of execution the penalties, implementing justice, applying human rights standards, and achieving the goal of the penalty in correction and rehabilitation.

The objectives of this study have indicated the foundations and justifications for establishing a penalties execution judge, and the study has considered alternative systems for denial of freedom and the change of methods of treatments of prisoners that the current legal system lacks, in order to achieve the desired criminal justice.
