This study examines the factors behind the challenges being faced by non-native speakers of Arabic language in Nigeria, while using different forms of verbs, adjectives, verbal nouns and plurals in contemporary Arabic.

The samples of the study were derived from nigerian stories, novels and plays written in Arabic, and the writers of these works are lecturers in nigerian universities and colleges of education, with exception of Gambari
