Abstract EN

This study examines the use of news releases in the United Arab Emirates in government institutions and private sector organizations through the content analysis of Alittihad newspaper.

The study arrived at multiple results, such as public relations practitioners rely on mental strategies in writing the news release which are based on traditional methods in editing and drafting.

Most of the study sample of the news release’s adhere to news story editing rules.

Moreover, there is a decrease in the negative uses of the news releases.

Social activities ranked the highest among all the topics.

Furthermore, the study revealed poor writing efficiency in the sample.
