Abstract EN

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of multimedia computer assisted instruction (MCAI), traditional instruction (TI), on learning the ability of massage.

40 male students of 1st grade in Mutah University were randomly assigned into two teaching method groups ; TI, MCAI Each group received Eight 35-min periods of instruction divided into three sections: (a) 5-min introduction, (b) 25-min instructional time and (c) 5-min questions and review, TI group participants experienced the massage ability through a series of progressive skills presented by an instructor.

The MCAI group experienced the massage ability through a series of progressive skills presented by a multimedia program.

All students completed pre-, post-,.

T test were conducted to determine effect of method groups (MCAI, TI,).the MCAI and TI methods.

Post-test results indicated significant differences on learning massage ability, the massage ability test scores of the MCAI group were more favorable to TI method.

However, the MCAI method of instruction tended to be the most effective on Massage ability learning.

This study has recommended the necessity of designing the multimedia computer assisted instruction on learning the ability of massage.
