Abstract EN

This study aims at emphasizing the significance and effects of similitude/ resemblence on Al-Mubarrad's grammatical thought; it also aims to identify the extent to which Al-Mubarrad made use of this phenomenon in his book, Al-muqtadab, to interpret various grammatical rules as well as form his own syntactial principles, trace their origins, and justify them.

The study finds that Al-Mubarrad resorted to this phenomenon, resemblence, intentionally to justify his ideas and interpret some grammatical rules that can not be interpreted without using the similitude.
