Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on the different inflectional (parsing) aspects which comes after Adat Al-‘Istithna', the exception particle, (ella إلا ) in various syntactic structures through examining the cases of al-Mustathna, the excepted, which comes after the exception particle.

The study deals with the various inflectional aspects of "the excepted" in the case of the structure of at- Taam al-Mujib, complete positive exception.

Grammarians have had different views and interpretations on the variations which contradict the grammatical and syntactic rules they have established in this field.

The study also investigates the role of inflection in understanding the different meanings of language and Quranic structures.

It is not enough to identify grammatical or syntactic case of the excepted structure, but rather we must look for the potential syntactic structures which express the meanings which accurately concord with the interpretations.

The study found that meaning plays a clear role in disclosing the lexical functions of the linguistic and Quranic structures, and in understanding of their different inflectional aspects required by different structures, cases and contexts.
