Abstract EN

The study consists of an introduction, a preface, a discussion of two main topics, and a conclusion.

The first topic that the study investigates is the external aspects of rhythm in Habib al-Zyoodi’s divan “Clouds over al- Alook”.

These external aspects of rhythm include poetic meters, rhyme, and some rhythmic irregularities.

The discussion of these rhythmic aspects shows that the poetic meters of al-Baseet and al-Kamil are dominant in the divan under investigation.

The second topic that the study investigates is the internal aspects of rhythm in the divan under investigation.

These aspects include the mixing of different poetic forms, the pairing of similar and different poetic meters, the structure of rhyme that dominates the majority of poems, the structure of poetic rotation, the different forms of repetition, and the distribution of vowel sounds in some poems.
