Arabic Abstract

هدفت الدراسة استقصاء أثر التعلم عن طريق اللعب في التحصيل و الاحتفاظ في مادة الرياضيات لدى طالبات الصف الرابع الأساسي في مدارس لواء المزار الجنوبي، تألفت عينة الدراسة من (66) طالبة وزعت في مجموعتين تجريبية (36) طالبة درست بطريقة الألعاب التعليمية و الضابطة (30) طالبة درست بالطريقة الاعتيادية.

و قد استخدمت الدراسة المنهج شبه التجريبي، و تم إعداد دليل إرشادي للطالب و المعلم لاستخدام استراتيجيه التعلم باللعب, و اختبار تحصيلي في الوحدة الدراسية ؛ تم التأكد من صدقهما و ثباتهما.

و توصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج الآتيه : وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين المتوسطات الحسابية للقياس البعدي للتحصيل في الرياضيات ولصالح المجموعة التجريبية ؛ و بلغ حجم الأثر (66 %).

كما أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين المتوسطات الحسابية لدرجات أفراد المجموعتين على الاختبار التحصيلي الاحتفاظ و لصالح المجموعة التجريبية، و بلغ حجم الأثر (95 %).

و في ضوء نتائج الدراسة تم اقتراح استخدام استراتيجيه التعلم باللعب في تدريس الرياضيات.

English Abstract

This study aimed to explore the effect of learning through Educational Games in achievement and retention in math course at Almazar southern district schools, among the 4th grade female Students compared with the traditional method, The sample of the study consisted of (66) female students.

This sample was assigned randomly into two groups: The experimental group, which consisted of (30) female students, was taught using Educational Games, while control group, which consisted of (36) female students, was taught through the traditional method.

To achieve the aims of the study the researcher prepared an achievement test that consisted of (20) multiple choice items in its final version, and instructional guide for teaching by educational games strategy, the validity and the reliability of the study tools were verified.

The study revealed the following result : There was statistical significant difference between the means of the two groups of the study on the achievement in favor of the experimental group , with an effect size (66%).Also there was statistical significant difference between the means of the two groups of the study on retention in math in favor of the experimental group, with an effect size (95%).In the light of the results of the study it was recommended to use the educational games in teaching math.
