The Information society appeared after the digital revolution in which the need to electronic information and access to national and international digital resources are essential for development.

The continuous demand for quick information retrieval is mainly linked to electronic inter-library loan and document delivery services, and it is achieved through the low-cost repaid and widespread information networks, now available to provide these services.

We have to review and renew our knowledge and skills according to well-studied ethics.

Unesco is concerned with information ethics and has launched a forum on the net for discussion.

Modern information ethics would be based on commitment not compulsion, self-control instead of censorship, conscience rather than legal force.

An educational revolution is needed to cope with the information one that allows developed countries to impose their cultural style to influence our intellectual life seeking political and economic profit.

Therefore, a common strategy is needed to face the storm and set up a moral convention according to present and future needs.
