Study employed a social survey using purposive sample to handle this topic.

Respondents totaled 235 of Ministry of Education staff in Riyadh.

The administered questionnaire gauged three dimensions to realize the overall purpose of the study.

Findings have shown an increase in the first dimension: basics of dialogue in Saudi family with an average of 54.6 and a percentage of 72.8%.

The second dimension: challenges facing dialogue basics in Saudi family averaged 48.8 and the percentage was 65.1%.

The key challenges findings have shown were: attachment to social networking sites and rejection of criticism during dialogue.

The third dimension: suggestions for boosting dialogue within Saudi family averaged 41.7 with a percentage of 75.9%.

Study summed up with a number of suggestions for boosting dialogue culture within Saudi family, including instilling dialogue culture in children from an early age and promotion of effective dialogue culture among families.

Findings have also shown statistically significant differences between the size of families and level of knowledge of dialogue basics.

Study concluded with a number of findings, including the importance of knowing basics of dialogue.

Study also spotted a number of obstacles hampering family dialogue including attachment to social networking sites; rejection of criticism; increase of life pressure on families; failure to choose the right time for dialogue and fear of children to disclose secrets.

Recommendations included: using social media to promote dialogue culture and activating religious institutions role in this regard.
