through this research we seek to clarify the general background of the knowledge-based economy, its concept, its properties, its components, knowledge-based economy in Egypt mode, and display the knowledge economy indicators, measuring e-readiness in Egypt, and then eat the pillars upon which the knowledge-based economy in Egypt, and the steps that will help build a knowledge-based economy in Egypt, and finally offer opportunities and challenges of the integration of Egypt in the knowledge economy.
