Abstract EN

This research deals with the poem Al-Faisal by poet Al-Farazdak, and took into perspective multiple references.

The poetry references which included thirty brilliant poets that Al-Farazdak learned from them and mastered there arts.

Then, it discussed the critical reference which included around thirty terms of critiques' rules and issues.

The social references which provided more than thirty eminent figures, in history, time, parentage and glory, from Tameem tribe and other tribes.

According to all these references, Al-Farazdak was an unrivaled poet, a known critic, and a social historian.

He built his poem with a highly selective and parceling poetic energy, in its eloquent language, portraits, and aesthetic pictures.

It poem was amongst the first poems with documented references during the Omayyad period.
