Abstract EN

This research paper aims to elucidate the significance of the doves' voice ''Hadeel'' in Umayyad Epoch's poetry and analyzes several verses of this poetry.

They rely on poetry to express there sense of sorrow, longing and anguish.

We found that the doves are mostly mentioned in sorrow topicts and grief situations.

For example, when the poet complained about the parting and described nostalgia and longing, we saw him mentioning the doves.

He also relies on it imaging his ecstasy and longing .

Crying was treated by Umayyad as an inherent feature of deserted places, and the image of deserted place was coupled with the image of doves in general.

Umayyad poet presents the doves' image in a continuously ever-lasting moving and worrying case and he did not image it in a static or lifeless one.

This is really considered as a reflection for the reality he lives in.
