Abstract EN

The purpose of the study is to identify the nature and most important psychic problems from which university youths suffer in the Faculty of Arts, University of Aden and identify the differences regarding gender-related psychic problems as well as the differences according to educational standard and specialization.

To verify the objectives of the study a study tool was design to gauge psychic problems .

The study sample was made up of (220) male and female university youths in the Faculty of Arts, University of Aden.

The results of the study showed that the most important psychic problems which university youths believe to be existing and are most serious are problems, worry from examinations, suffer from sleeplessness and fear from the future, inability to take decision.

The results also showed existence of statistically significant differences concerning the most important psychic problems of which university youths suffer ascribed to gender variation (male –female) ascribed in favour of males, in addition to statistically significant differences in the degrees of psychic problems ascribed to study standard variation, and absence of statistically significant differences in the degrees of psychic problems ascribed to scientific specialization.
