study aimed at exploring the Sudanese handicrafts made from plants such as leaves and wood, it highlighted its importance in terms of its aesthetic value and its usefulness.

This study has also drawn the attention of the designers to the importance of Sudanese heritage and to benefit from it in enhancing the design works.

It aimed at highlighting the latest development in the filed of the handicrafts particularly in the developments thattook place in various works of life particularly in its technical and technological fields.

This study has also highlighted the innovative and ideological features of the handicraft business as well as investigating the adopted technical approaches.

the industrial practice in terms of its types, its raw materials, the various colours used in manufacturing these materials.

Its various patterns have been explored.

This study has also tackled what has been achieved by the craft man after having developed these works which are related to the field of technical innovation the researcher has collected his informations and data through field visits, personalinterviews, references.

The descriptive - analytical method has been adopted, a set of samples have been chosen and analyses technically.

The study has arrived at important findings.

It has proved that the handicraft is regarded as a high art,it is a global art and it is part and parcel of the fine and applied art.

Despite the view held by the society towards this art, viewing it as a low art.

As testimony,the modern technology has taken in to consideration the importance of standards and aesthetic values that enrich the products of handicrafts prior to its functional benefits
