Kuwait is located in the dry desert region, It’s climate is hot and dry in summer and rainy in winter.

Natural plants grow in the valleys, streams coastal plains and alluvial fans.

Natural plants grow extensively in spring, and most plants die in summer, except summer plants.

The natural vegetation of Kuwait disappears in the sand dunes, rocky areas, oil lakes and sabkha areas.

This research aims to study the geomorphological and environmental determinants for the growth of natural vegetation in Kuwait, and the geographic factors affecting their growth, and places of growth during the period of time nearly 40 years, in the period from 1972 until 2014.

This research employed the application of GIS and remote sensing technologies to determine the places where natural vegetation grows and spiracles in Kuwait, and to evaluate the impact of land use on the distribution of natural plants, such as military and industrial establishments, and construction and petroleum areas etc.

The visual and computer analysis of satellite images of the areas, shows the natural vegetation in Kuwait, due to an increase that in fencing areas, such as oil and nature reserve areas.
