تقييم معامل الارتباط لبعض صفات محصول الذرة الصفراء Zea Mays L.

Abstract EN

A field experiment was carried out during spring season 2013 at some agricultural fields in Thi-Qar province / Al-Gharaaf district.

The aim of experiment was to evaluation some of statistical standards for characteristics synthetic of corn (EPA 3001,EPA 3003, Bohooth 106, 2052 hybrid , Cadez hybrid ,5018, 5017, 5017, 5016, 5015 and 5012).

The layout of experiment was R.C.B.D.

with three replications, the data of (higher seed yield gm/plant, duration of male and female flowering, plant height (cm), leaf area (cm2),ear height (cm), number of rows/ear, number of seeds/ row and weight of 300 seed) were recorded and the simple correlation factor revealed that the seed yield gave high significant of positive correlation reached (0.863**) with plant height, while the correlation was just positive and significant with (number of rows, number of seeds) which reached (0.664* and 0.632*) respectively.

Male and female duration and leaf area had negative correlation, while ear height and weight of 300 seed gave non-significant positive correlation reached (0.404 and 0.591) respectively.

So, according to this results we can accreditation the characteristics ( number of rows/ear and number of seeds/ row) as important selective indicators by plant breeder to improvement seed yield of corn crop.
