Abstract EN

This work aims to prepare YIG thin-films with an effective and low-cost scheme.

Yttrium iron garnet powder has been prepared via the sol- gel technique at various annealing temperatures: 800, 1000, 1100, and 1200oC.

The best crystal structure was obtained at the annealing temperature of 1200 oC.

XRD spectra showed that formed crystals belong to the cubic structure Ia-3d, with a lattice constant of a=12.3760 A° and density 5.17100 g/cm3 by Crystal Impact Match! 1.11f system.

YIG thin films have been spin-coated on quartz substrates then treated at various annealing temperatures: 700, 800, and 900oC.

XRD patterns showed that the optimal temperature is 900oC.

Crystal structure of the annealed thin-film similar to that of the powder structure with a lattice constant equals to a=12.3750 A° and density 5.16900 g/cm3 by Crystal Impact Match! 1.11f system.
