A detailed in vitro multiplication system for rapid micropropagataion of the Hypericum perforatum L.
has been developed.
Shoot tips and axillary buds excised from this plant which were collected from Tartous explants and surface disinifected then cultured on MS (Murashige and Skoog 1962) medium then placed onto MS basel medium containing a combination of growth regulators at different concentrations (BAP IBA GA3), then placed onto MS basel medium containing IBA in different concentration.
Results showed that the highest number of growth was 39.6 when (1.33µM BAP + 1µM IBA) were adding, while the highest of the growth was 5.1 cm in medium MS5 after adding (1.33µM BAP + 1µM IBA + 2.4GA3).
The observed rooting was (6.9 roots, 5.7cm length and 64% in percentage of rooting) in R3 (MS+ 7.33µM IBA), and acclimatization was 85%.
