Abstract EN

The objective of this research to uncover the role of the banking sector in the financing of small projects in Jordan, has formed a sample of the research (161) small projects, and after the application of the study; of the questionnaire, the results revealed the following: 1-small businesses classified in three sectors (industrial, trade, services).

2- the majority of small businesses in the form of individual companies.

3-the advantage of the low number of small projects where the management which may be one of the reasons behind the low efficiency of these projects.

4-The most important difficulties faced by small enterprises, due to the complicated procedures of banking, high interest rates, affected by the weakness of the safeguards provided to the banks, and weak capacity to provide the required financial statements In light of the results was a set of recommendations which relate to the need to develop the bank's funding of small projects, in addition to the need for the intervention of the government sector to assist small business owners through the jurisdiction of these projects range of goods and services that are not Compete by the owners of large projects.
