Abstract EN

The research aims to : 1- Identify the level of psychological compliance among the volleyball players 2- Identify the level of psychological skills among the volleyball players 3- Recognize the relationship between the level of psychological compliance and the psychological skills among the volleyball players The research sample was the third-year students in the faculty of physical education at Al-Mustansiriya University for the academic year 2013-2014, who were about 70 students It was required to use the following instruments in the research : - The psychological compliance scale The psychological skills scale- The scientific treatments were conducted, which were related to the research instruments used and represented in finding out the validity and reliability of the research by using the various statistical methods and by using the views of a number of experts and specialists in the field of physical education and the educational and psychological science in order to ensure the appropriateness of these instruments to achieve the two aims of the current research The research was conducted for the period from 07/01/2014 until 01/05/2014.

The results of psychological compliance scale and the psychological skills were measured based on the statistical standards of the research instruments by using the t-test in order to compare between the averages The researcher concluded the following : * There were significant differences in the level of psychological compliance among the volleyball players * There were significant differences in the level of psychological skills among the volleyball players * There was a significant correlation between the dimension of the ability to relax for the measurement of psychological skills and the domestic, social and athletic dimension for the measurement of psychological compliance * There was a significant correlation between the self-confidence dimension and the health, physical and athletic dimensions for the measurement of psychological compliance and the dimensions of the measurement of psychological skills * There was a significant correlation between the athletic achievement motivation dimension for the measurement of psychological skills and the domestic, social dimension for the measurement of psychological compliance The research recommends the following : - Preparing developed programs to support the psychological and social compliance of the university students, in general, and the students of the faculty of physical education in particular, and help and train them on the steps and skills of self control and control of emotions - Continuous training on mental skills so that they can be used to improve the skills performance.
