Abstract EN

Basically_ this research aims to identify the effectiveness of the intervention of a counseling (cognitive) to have a preference for deep learning style_ in order to identify a sample of intervention especially those who are in need of interventions later in general research also identify learning styles for the students of the university_ in general_and to identify the effect of variables gender and type of specialization in particular_ and after seeing the theoretical framework of the research and many of the ( previous studies )_ formed by the researcher ten hypotheses.

And pursued a search two approaches_ Correlative and experimental_ and the researcher developed a questionnaire of learning styles (R-SPQ- 2F)_ according to Biggs s Theory of Learning styles_ as a first tool in search_ while promising intervention counseling cognitive drawing on the (Cognitive of Counseling Theory s Beck) theoretical framework_ and hired a researcher to identify the steps that will go down in intervention counseling of cognitive in the current study_ by the model (Borders & Drary_ 1992)_ and after making sure statistically the validity of the tools have been applied to a sample of ( 877 ) students from the University of Muthanna_ and noted the search results to a difference statistically significant difference in the preferences of the sample to the learning style of deep and learning style surface_ and by elements ( motivation - the strategy )_ also found the impact of a statistically significant variable gender in preference learning style deep and in favor of females_ with no type Specialization is a statistically significant effect_ as results indicated the presence of statistically significant effectiveness of the intervention counseling of cognitive_ research concluded a number of conclusions recommendations and proposals.
