Background & Objective: Most of previous studies used tensile or pressure forces (as parallel to tooth long axis) to study the cemented posts resistance, But there are lateral forces tried to loosen, or bending those posts.

Aim of study: detecting the resistance of Ready- made Serrated- para Posts cemented by three different Luting Cements to Bending Moment by applying a horizontal force on the free post end.

Materials & method: A study of ready-made serrated para posts from (Colten co.)cemented to 36 first lower premolers with 2 types of resin cements (panavia-21,vaiolink), and one glass ionomer (Ketac-cem) into horizontally sectioned (on enamel- cementum junction), and endodontically prepared roots to bending moment, using (W0EHLER fatique testing machine), 180g weight applied on the free post end until it was loosen.

Results: After recording time, and cycling no., the log no.

until the posts had been loosen, The results showed that resin cements was more retentive than glass ionomer cement, and panavia-21 was the best, since (p< 0.005), using one way ANOVA analyses as( P=0.003).

Discussion: The difference of dentine bonding agents between the tow resin cements explains the priority of panivia 21 to variolink.

And the glass ionomer cement was the lowest.

While posts loosening confirm the importance of fitting accuracy of the coronal part of the posts as well as the apical to the root canal walls.

This study showed that applying 180g weight caused posts loosening, and the type of cement affects their resistance significantly.

We suggest the using resin cements, and confirm the coronal fitting of the posts to the root canal
