Abstract EN

The civil defense centers distribution in Riyadh requires profound attention because they protect the residence and their possessions.

Therefore, it must be in agreement with the size and the city functions in addition to the road network characteristics.

This results in reaching the accident easily and quickly, thus reducing losses to a minimum.

The study aims to assess the current distribution of the civil defense centers in Riyadh, and the level of spatial importance of each According to the size of the geographical range in its spatial variables.

The final outcome would be determining their service level to facilitate a future conceptualization of the centers that is efficient and sufficient to the city size.

This study has concluded that the current distribution of the centers is incompatible with the geographical variables distribution.

Finally, in order to enhance and achieve the best service level in Riyadh, ageographic database of civil defense centers linked to the spatial and geographic variables of their service range must be constructed.

It also must interact with the roads conditions; in normal or rush hours, thus, reaching the accident easily.
