Abstract EN

This research aims to show the Yemeni Journalists' uses of social networks and the extent to which they benefit from them.

The research mainly relies on media survey method.

The research sample which includes (150) Yemeni journalists, was chosenaccording to the systematic random sample method.

The research was conducted in May 2013, and it concludes with several findings including the following: First, the first hypothesis which states, "There is a statistically significant relation between the motives of journalists' uses of social networks and the realization of their journalistic satisfaction" was proved.

Second, the second hypothesis which states, "Thereare statistically significant variations of the motives of journalists' uses of social networks due to personal differences" was proved.

Third, the journalists' uses of social networks was, for the purpose of expressing views first,and following-up news and the latest affairs, second.

Forth, the journalists spend the longest time using Facebook (3 hours at least).

Fifth, the journalists extensivelyuse Facebook in their journalistic work, while theymoderately use Twitter and YouTube.
