Abstract EN

The purpose of this study to know the role of the public relations in Improving the Image of Countries by identifying the public relations activities In the External Information Council (EIC), and their contribution in improving the image of Sudan.

Descriptive analysis method and surveying studies were conducted.

The researcher concluded that there is no dedicated authority with the Sudanese goverment to administrate the public relations .The (EIC) contributed to some extent in improving the image of Sudan internationally, although the effectiveness of the Public Relations in the External Information Council had been hindered by many obstacles.

These obstacles need to be addressed and a plan for effective communication needs to be formulated through Various media.
