Abstract EN

This study aims to diagnose the reality of information and communication technologies using technological partial indicators which is considered as measuring tools reflecting the overall situation of the sector, and of the Internet Index, Landline Index and the mobile phone index, as the study presents a diagnosis of the status of information and communication in Algeria, and highlights the development dimensions in the period between 2000-2014, as one of the strategic sectors of the economy, which requires support and development from the Algerian Government through pursuing further reforms on the level of information and communication technology sector as it contributes in attracting investment and the development of human capital and thus increase growth.
