Abstract EN

This research investigates the paradigm “Istaf’ala” in the Holy Quran and its semantic and syntactic connotations.

The research is confined to ten paradigms only to suit the size of the research.

The researcher concluded that many of the meanings referred to by linguists and Quran interpreters do not suit Quranic contexts.

The researcher also found out that the paradigm “istaf’ala” adds to aesthetic as well as psychological values which make the text abound with deep semantic indications.

The researcher, moreover, found out that the most prominent meaning of “istaf’ala” included in the studied material is the meaning of intensification and assertion
