Identifying the impact of the K.W.L.
chart strategy in learning some offensive skills and developing the tactical thinking among the students in fencing requires the K.W.L.
chart strategy to be applied on a sample of students in the third level in the Faculty of physical education, Diyala University, for the academic year 2014-2015, who were 15 students for the experimental group, and 15 for the control group, in addition to 50 students as a validating sample for the measurement of the tactical thinking with a percentage of 53.70 from the research population, which was 149 students.
The research aims to identify the impact of the K.W.L.
chart strategy on learning some of the offensive skills and on the development of the tactical thinking among students in fencing.
After implementing the educational curriculum in which the K.W.L.
chart strategy was used the data was collected, this data was processed statistically by using SPSS.
The research concluded that the K.W.L.
chart strategy and the method followed had a positive impact on the students’ learning of offensive skills (the direct attack, compound attack, and feint attack) in fencing and the offensive tactical thinking.
The researcher recommended using the modern strategies which depend on that the students are the center of the educational process in learning the basic skills in fencing and the other subjects.
