Arabic Abstract

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعريف بالأوضاع الاجتماعية في لواء الكرك خلال الفترة الواقعة بين سنتي 1311- 1341هـ / 1893 - 1923م، و هي محاولة لتوثيق معالم الحياة الاجتماعية في لواء الكرك في فترة التنظيمات العثمانية، و هي فترة من الزمن عانى تاريخها من الإغفال.

و كان الحديث عن الحياة الاجتماعية في لواء الكرك إيَّان تلك الفترة شذرات متفرقة و إلماحات لا تسد رمق الباحث و لا تشفي غليل الدارس، و كان لا بدّ من إعمال الجهد في البحث عن الحياة الاجتماعية من المظان الأصلية، و الرجوع إلى مختلف مصادر تلك الحقبة، وصولا إلى إظهار الحقائق التاريخية المتصلة بتاريخ الحياة الاجتماعية في لواء الكرك ؛ لأن هذه الدراسة تعدُّ جزءا من كتابة تاريخ الأردن الحديث و المعاصر، و إبراز دوره الحضاري.

و قد جاءت هذه الدراسة في مقدمة، و أربعة فصول، فقد تناول الفصل الأول السكان و فئاتهم في لواء الكرك، و تضمن الفصل الثاني القضاء و قوات حفظ الأمن و النظام، و عرض الفصل الثالث إلى مظاهر من الحياة الاجتماعية، و خصص الفصل الرابع للأحوال الشخصية.

و قد اعتمدت الدراسة على مصادر متنوعة لعلّ من أهمها و ثائق المحاكم الشرعية، و دفاتر الأراضي، و الحوليات الرسمية التي كانت تصدرها الدولة العثمانية، و ولاية سورية و التي عرفت بـ (السالنامات)، حيث تضمنت معلومات رسمية هامة، و من المصادر التي اعتمدت عليها الدراسة الصحف و المجلات الصادرة حينذاك، و المذكرات و الأوراق الشخصية، إضافة إلى ما دونه الرحالة الأجانب من مشاهدات و انطباعات عن لواء الكرك.

English Abstract

This study aimed to identify the social conditions in Al-Karak District during the 1311- 1341 AH / 1893 - 1923 AD, as is an attempt to document the features of the social life in Al-Karak District in the period of Ottoman existence, this period of time was overlooked.

Talking about the social life in the District of Al Karak during that period represents only scattered writings and notices that are hardly sufficient to satisfy the researcher and the scholar.

It was necessary to make deep research and effort regarding the social life depend on refer to trusted sources as well as the different resources refer to that period of time, until we reach to demonstrate the historical facts related to the history of the social life in the District of Al Karak, so this study is a part of writing and documenting the history of Jordan as well as demonstrating its civilized role.

This study consisted of an introduction, and four chapters.

The first chapters represent the population and their categories in the District of Al Karak, the second chapter addressed the judiciary as well as the forces of maintaining security and discipline, the third chapter contain the aspects of social life, and the fourth chapter addressed the Personal Status.

This study was based on a variety of sources, including the documents of the Islamic courts, the records of lands, official yearbooks, which were issued by the Ottoman Empire and the state of Syria, known as the (Alsalnamat), which included an important official information.

This study was also based on the newspapers and magazines at that time, the diaries and the personal papers, in addition to what the foreign travelers documented of Observations and impressions about Al-Karak district.
