Arabic Abstract

هدفت الدراسة الحالية التعرف إلى اتجاهات الممرضين نحو المهنة وعلاقته بمستوى الطموح لديهم، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم تطبيقها بالمسح الشامل على (339) ممرضا وممرضة من مستشفيات خاصة وحكومية بمحافظة الكرك، طبق عليهم ثلاثة مقاييس هي: مقياس الاتجاه نحو مهنة التمريض ومقياس تقدير الذات ومقياس مستوى الطموح، وتم التحقق من دلالات صدقها وثباتها توصلت الدراسة إلى : وجود مستوى متوسط من الاتجاه نحو مهنة التمريض وتقدير الذات ومستوى الطموح لدى الممرضين، وتبين وجود علاقة ايجابية دالة احصائيا بين اتجاهات الممرضين نحو مهنتهم بكـــل مــن مستوى الطموح وتقدير الذات لديهم، كما وأظهرت النتائج وجود فروق بين الممرضين والممرضات في الاتجاه نحو مهنة التمريض ومستوى الطموح ولصالح الممرضات بينما لم تظهر وجود فروق في مستوى تقدير الذات تعزى للنوع الاجتماعي، كما أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق في اتجاهات الممرضين نحو المهنة تعزى لمكان العمل داخل المستشفى حيث تبين أن العاملين في قسم العناية الحثيثة أقل في مستوى الاتجاه وتقدير الذات مقارنة بالعاملين بقسم الطوارئ والاقسام الداخلية.

وأوصت الدراسة بعدة توصيات أهمها ضرورة أن يقوم المسؤولين بإيلاء الممرضين والممرضات الاهتمام اللازم من حيث الدعم المادي والمعنوي والترقيات لكي يؤدوا عملهم بشكل أفضل، وإجراء دورات تدريبية للمرضين والممرضات تتضمن برامج تساعد الممرضين والممرضات في تحسين اتجاهاتهم نحو مهنتهم ورفع مستوى تقديرهم لذاتهم.

English Abstract

The current study aimed to identify nurses' attitudes toward the career and its relation the level of aspiration among nurses in service and if this career meets the level of their aspirations, the extent of their self-esteem and the relationship between nurses' attitudes and aspiration and self-esteem among them.

To achieve the aims of the study, it applied on (339) male and female nurses from private and public hospitals using comprehensive survey method.

The study applied the attitude toward nursing career scale, the self-esteem scale and the aspiration level scale after checking for their reliabilities and consistencies.

The study revealed to the existence of attitude level toward the career of nursing among participants , the existence of a positive statistical relationship between nurses’ attitudes toward their career with both aspiration and self-esteem among them , results also indicated a difference between male and female nurses regarding attitude toward the career of nursing and aspiration and this difference was in favor of female nurses while there were no differences in self-esteem that are attributed to gender .

In addition, there were differences in nurse attitudes toward the career of nursing that are attributed to the place of work within the hospital as it was indicated that workers in the intensive care unit less attitude and self-esteem compared to those working in the emergency room and other internal units.
