The current article investigates an unknown book that deals with a well-known grammatical discipline.

This book is entitled “Manhaj Al-Saalik Fi Al-kalaam ala Alfiyyat Ibn Maalik” by Abu Hayyaan Al-Andalusi (d.

744 h).

The aim of this study is to draw the attention of researchers and scholars to this invaluable book.

To achieve my aim, I have attempted to pinpoint the most salient features in Abu Hayyan’s methodology of discussion.

Hence, the article tackles the main grammatical rules in Abu Hayyan’s analysis.

Moreover, it shows the most important and various types of sources which he depended upon.

Furthermore, the paper has used many texts to indicate different aspects of Abu Hayyan’s analysis
