Therapeutic Gardens are a real necessity in designing all kinds of health- care facilities, especially pediatric hospitals.

According to the theories of modern medicine, these gardens play an effective therapeutic role for sick kids in hospital wards, outpatient clinics, their friends, their parents and the hospital crew by providing resting areas and variant therapeutic benefits.

In addition, it plays an active role for hospital building itself in reducing the noise if the hospital is within an urban area.

The data show that the design of local pediatric hospitals in Syrian Arab Republic does not take into consideration the importance of under- sky treatment for sick children and the necessity of having gardens, especially therapeutic gardens.

Therefore, the research shows the importance of therapeutic gardens existence in pediatric hospitals and its role in speeding up children recovery by showing types of treatment these gardens can provide and how to adequately achieve it architecturally.
