Abstract EN
This study sheds light on the pronominal reference topic and its role in text cohesion in a pragmatic way.
It analyses, on the one hand, its notions and types (endophora, exophora) and, on the other hand, its trends (anaphora and cataphora) in the Arab tradition.
It also compares between the Arab linguistics’ heritage and the contemporary occidental theories specialized in textual and pragmatic linguistics.

Cette etude aborde le sujet de la reference pronominale et son role dans la cohesion des textes d'une fa$on pragmatique, en analysant, d’une part, ses notions et ses types (endophora, exophora), et d’autre part, ses tendances (anaphora et cataphora) dans la tradition arabe.
Nous tentons aussi de comparer ce patrimoine linguistique arabe aux theories linguistiques occidentales contemporaines spdcialisdes en linguistique textuelle et pragmatique.
