Abstract EN
This research aimed to identify the degree of awareness among students of Al-Balqa Applied University (BAU) in the North territory regarding E-learning.
To achieve the goal of the research two questions were asked: What is the degree of awareness among the students of BAU in the North territory regarding e-learning? and does the degree of awareness among BAU students in the North territory regarding Elearning differ by (sex, college, and specialization)? To investigate the above questions, the researcher built a measurement tool (questionnaire) that consisted of 36 paragraphs distributed on three areas: the nature of E-learning programs, the benefits of E-learning, the role of students in Elearning.
The research sample consisted of 173 male and female students in the community colleges of Al-Balqa Applied University (Al-Huson, Irbid, and Ajloun) in the North territory who have been randomly selected; the questionnaire was distributed to the research sample.
After data collection and analysis, the results showed a high degree of awareness among the students of BAU in the North territory regarding Elearning, no difference in the degree of awareness among the students of BAU in the North territory regarding E-learning according to the sex and collage of the student, no statistically significant differences at the significance degree α=0.05 between the arithmetic means of the fields "the benefits of Elearning, the role of the student in E-learning," according to the variable of specialization, and the presence of statistically significant differences at the significance degree α=0.05 between the arithmetic means of the field of "the nature of ELearning programs".
The differences were in favor of specialization "Engineering Science" and in the light of these results, a set of recommendations were designed.
