Abstract EN

The historical study has a great importance in the field of physical education as it is a study of the facts and historical events for each sports event, as it gives a clear picture of the history of the effectiveness with the results achieved and, thus, contributing to the knowledge of the extent of progress and development taking place in the game or sports event and also choosing the best in order to shape the future.

The physical education is considered the best way and tool for returning the disabled person to the community again and strengthening his relationship through real interaction between the healthy people and the disabled ones because they are part of the human active wealth, which could be directed to be able to provide the society with the achievements and sports victories and raise the nation name in the forums internally and globally.

Due to the lack of interest and adequate support from the state to this category of athletes compared to their healthy peers despite their realized achievements, as well as the absence of special studies for the achievements of the Central Union of Athletics for the Disabled in our beloved region, so the researcher decided to count the most important achievements the union over Arabian countries, Asian ones or global ones for the period 2004 to 2011 so that it becomes an archive belonging to the Central Iraqi Union of Athletics for the Disabled.

The study also aimed to highlight the most important results achieved by the Union for the period 2004 to 2011, as well as to get to know the names of the players and the categories of their disability and identify the names of the races and Arabian, Asian and international championship
