A field experiment was conducted at the experimental farm, Dept.

of Field Crop, Coll.

of Agriculture, Univ.

of Baghdad ,during 2011-2012 Winter Season, to Study the effect of potassium fertilizer levels and appilication stage on yield and yield Components traits wheat Triticum aestivum L.

( Var-Abu-Ghraib-3).

Factorial experiment was conducted with RCBD design with three replications involved two levels of Potassium 120, 180 Kg.ha-1, and control treatment the second factor was three stage of application (tillering , Booting, flowering).The stage, results showed, 120 Kg.K.ha-1 was Superior in number of Spikes.m2, number of Spikelets per spike, number of fertilizer spikelets , 1000 grain weight and biological yield with an increase of 9.74, 2.67, 3.80, 5.44, and 4.85% respectively as Compared to application Level 180 kg.k.ha-1 .

Application Stages was superior in number of spkile.

m-2 , number of fertilizer spikelets, Biological yield and grain yield, at tillering stage while application stage at flowering stage gave fertilizer ratio high, number of grain in spike and 1000 grain weight, The interaction between two factors was significant for all characteristics studying except fertilizer ratio.
